15th Feb. Workshop on Sustainable Land Management

Description:
A group of six Ethiopian researchers from four Ethiopian institutes, will be visiting Tottori University as part of the ongoing research collaboration with Tottori University.
The Sustainable Land Management (SLM) Research Group of IPDRE is organizing a one-day workshop, dedicated to presentations on collaborative research activities by the Visiting Researchers.

The presentations cover the following topics:
1.
Ethiopian Experiences in SLM and Future Directions - Mr. Tefera Tadesse, Lead Executive for Natural Resource Management, Ministry of Agriculture (MoA)

2.
Climate Change Impact on Sedimentation Risk of Reservoirs in the Upper Blue Nile Basin - Dr. Dagnachew Aklog, Bahir Dar University (BDU) and former faculty of Tottori University

3.
Promoting Evidence-Based Gully-Watershed Management Through a Participatory Approach in the Upper Blue Nile Basin, Ethiopia - Dr. Zerihun Nigussie (BDU)

4.
Church Forest Restoration in Ethiopia (CFRP) - Dr. Getu Abebe, Amhara Regional Agricultural Research Institute (ARARI)

5.
Progress in Monitoring Hydrological Processes and Gully Rehabilitation Activities in Chemoga Watershed - Debre Markos University, Representative
