Recruitment of Project Researcher
1. Background of the Recruitment:
The Arid Land Research Center (ALRC) is a research institution affiliated to Tottori University, and it serves as a “Joint Usage/Research Center” in the field of dryland science. Please visit our web-site for the further details: http://www.alrc.tottori-u.ac.jp/english/e_index.html.
ALRC has been carrying out “Response of CO2 fluxes to water addition focusing on the difference in dominant plant species in a grassland ecosystem in Mongolia”. To enhance its activity, we would like to hire an excellent project researcher.
2. Ideal Candidate:
Those who have the ability to conduct vegetation surveys, observations, and data analysis in Mongolia, and who are interested in research "Response of CO2 fluxes to water addition focusing on the difference in dominant plant species in a grassland ecosystem in Mongolia".
3. Qualifications:
(1) Possess a doctoral degree (Applicants expected to obtain a doctoral degree by the expected date of employment are also considered.)
(2) Outstanding achievements in academic fields related to "2. Ideal Candidate”.
(3) Skill of writing in English.
(4) Communication skills in Japanese and Mongolian
4. Period of Employment:
From April 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025. No extensions. Start date is negotiable.
Work Hours: Five days per week on weekdays (8:30 AM to 5:15 PM, 5 hours per day)
5. Compensation and Benefits:
-Conditions of employment including salary are subject to the regulations of Tottori University
-Insurance: Health and Welfare, Health, Employment, Workers' Compensation
-Allowances: Commuting allowance
-Eligible to apply for Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research

8. Selection method:
