JSPS-CAS Core-University Program Researches on Combating Desertification and Developmental Utilization in Inland China
　 Objectives
Implementation of sustainable development in the Loess Plateau of China through comprehensive measures for combating desertification (2001〜2005)
Developing a globally applicable, comprehensive model for combating desertification and utilization of dry lands(2006〜2010)
　Implementation (2006〜2010)
From 2006, our studies will be implemented mainly in both Yan’an ( dry sub-humid areas) and Shenmu( semi-arid areas).
Five research subjects are reformed into three research subjects to strengthen the inter-linkage among research subjects and bring in new important research topics including the viewpoint from socio-medical science and agricultural economy.
