Description
Deciduous shrub with height of 2–6 m and trunk diameter of 20 cm. At the Arid Land Research Center, blooms at the end of April. It has strong xerotolerance and is cultivated in areas with annual precipitation of 100–1,000 mm. Is strongly cold tolerant and can be cultivated at −8°C or higher. Propagation is performed by seeding or cutting. It is used in agroforestry in the country of origin.
