Setting Axis Properties

This is where you can set the properties of the axis. You can also access this dialog box by clicking the label (title) of the axis.
In the mathematical mode, clicking x-axis or y-axis let you accsess this dialog box.

Title: Type the label of the axis in single line.            [Setting of font]

Rightward (downward) shift(mm) from default position
If the default position of the label of the axis is not proper, you can change the location here.
You can move it by drug & drop with a mouse.

Numerals
Visible : Uncheck this if the numeral should not be shown.
Rightward (downward) shift(mm) from default position
If the default position of the numerals is not proper, you can change the location here.

From [ ] to [ ]
Here is where you set the plot range or scale for the graph. "From [ ] " means leftmost or topmost value while "to [ ]" means rightmost or bottommost value.
The leftmost or topmost value ("From [ ]") is not necessarily the minimum value. For example, if the Y-axis is depth, the bottommost value ("From [ ]") should be the maximum value while the topmost value ("to [ ]") should be the minimum value.
Division : Enter the number of major division.
Subdivision : Enter the number of major division.
if the value is 0 or 1, no subdivision is drawn.
Subdivision : When the scale is logarithmic, this checkbox is shown.
Mark this check box if you want subdivision whose number is 10.

Grid line: Mark this check box if you want broken-line grid instead of major division.

Logalithmic scale: Mark this check box here if you want the axis locarithmic.

Striped gridionly for Yl-axisj: If you mark here, stripes are painted instead of grid lines. By clicking the right hand button, you can select color.

Express time as date setting [        ] as t=0
If the horizontal axis indicates date, you can change the format of the numerals from day of year (cumulative day) to date (*/* ) by marking this check box. If you mark this check box, you must define what day is the origin of the cumulative day. A calendar where you can select the date easily is shown if you click the [V] button at the right.
