Font properties are specified by inserting tags ([ ]) containing one or two characters. The tags are case sensitive. For example, while [b] indicates bold, [B] means blue. If no settings are made, the default font, which is the same as that of numerals of axis, is appled.
Insertion of tags can be clicking the buttons and selecting the combobox on the toolbar above the edit box.
BTW, this help-topic can be called by pressing [F1] key when the cursor is in the edit box.
