Research Objectives
The purpose of this research is to develop the next generation SLM framework focused on the reduction of soil erosion, enhancement of land productivity, and economic and social empowerment of farmers in Ethiopia.
In specific terms, through integrated watershed management of small watersheds, aim to ① reduce the amount of soil erosion, ② improve soil productivity, and ③ raise the incomes levels of farmers. Formulate the initiatives and techniques (SLM approach) for the individual elemental technology (SLM technology) that is developed, and after the project completion, aim to deploy it in the Blue Nile upriver region and arid lands all over the world.
