The details of the vacancy information are as follows:
1. Background of the recruitment :
The Arid Land Research Center (ALRC) is a research institution affiliated to Tottori University, and it serves as a “Joint Usage/Research Center” in the field of dryland science. Please visit our web-site for the further details: http://www.alrc.tottori-u.ac.jp/english/e_index.html.
The Arid Land Research Center will launch a Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) project under the title of “Development of Climate Change Resilient Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Wheat Production in the Dry and Heat Prone Agro-Ecologies of Sudan and Sub-Saharan Africa”.
To enhance its activity, we would like to hire an excellent project researcher.
2. Ideal candidate:
Interested in research "Development of Climate Change Resilient Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Wheat Production in the Dry and Heat Prone Agro-Ecologies of Sudan and Sub-Sahara Africa (SATREPS-Sudan Project)”, have genetic and molecular biological knowledge and skills for research, and can work in the field abroad.
3. Qualifications:
(1) Possess a doctoral degree (Possible acquisition).
(2) Outstanding achievements in academic fields related to "2. Ideal candidate”.
(3) Ability to work collaboratively with research organizations (Professor Hisashi Tsujimoto) .
(4) For Japanese, ability to communicate in English. For foreign nationals, ability to communicate simply in Japanese.
4. Term of employment:
November 1, 2022-March 31, 2023. but expected to extend yearly, until March 31, 2024. Weekday 5 days of work. (8:30-17:15, 7 h 45 min actual working hours) Start date is negotiable.
5. Treatment:
-Conditions of employment including salary are subject to the regulations of Tottori University
-Eligible to apply for Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research
