Setting of Unsaturated Hydraulic Condictivity Function
You can select one of four hydraulic condictivity functions:
- modified Campbell
Flexibility is enhanced by adding two parameters to widely used Campbell's function(1974). Since this has only one power function, speed of simulation is faster.
- Fujimaki's function
This is a flexible function for the two fitting parameters. This is more suitable for sandy soils. Since this has only one exponential, speed of simulation is faster.
- Mualem-van GenuchtenŽ®(van Genuchten: 1981)
Most widely used.
- Shiozama's function (Mehta et al.: 1994)
This is a flexible function.
button
By clicking here, the function is drawn in a graph. You can check if you inputted appropriate values. Text data file ([soil name]_uhc.txt) which holds hydrailic conductivities at discretized water contents is created in the same folder as the case file.
In case of Inverse Parameter Estimation
Unless you set somewhat close value as optimum ones, it may take long time to converge or sometimes the iteration stops due to extraordinaly value. It is recommended to load soil property file for similar soil.
"Fixed" checkbox
Parameter with checkbox at the leftside can be fixed during the inverse parameter estimation.
